Introduction

The EWAR Training Module is a flexible and self sufficient learning tool designed to enable participants to set up and manage early warning and response systems for communicable diseases in their national context.

Structure

The backbone of the course is a case study that develops in 6 sessions. Technical presentations complement the case studies.

The module is designed to be a flexible learning instrument, it is developed around a real-life case study. Technical presentations are divided into two groups: core and optional. They are not mutually exclusive, the choice on which presentations to select for the module rests with the facilitator depending on the target audience.

The module will develop as a succession of interactive sessions that are followed by technical ones in a logic sequence flow rather than a structured timetable.
